WOMEN AND LEADERSHIP
KEYS TO SUCCESS
Once a year, AAWGT, instead of focusing on community needs, focuses on women and leadership and the unique role we play in society. Our theme is Effective Leadership: Keys to Success.
We expect to explore topics such as what traits are most common in strong leaders, what special strengths do women bring to leadership roles, and the importance of mentoring in leadership development.
Our panel will feature highly accomplished women from our local community, including
- Dawn Lindsay, president of Anne Arundel Community College,
- Kathryn "Kitty" O. Higgins, president of The Higgins Company, and former Deputy Secretary of the US Dept of Labor, and
-
Dr. Priscilla Zotti, Senior Professor, Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, U.S. Naval Academy
The panel will be moderated by AAWGT immediate past president, Karen Smith.
This meeting is open to members and guests.

Directions: From Annapolis: Take Route 2 north (Richie Highway), turn right onto West Campus Drive (used to be Big Vanilla on corner, now the YWCA athletic center), go straight and the CALT building will be on your right. There is some parking at that level, and there is a lower lot with a footbridge if no parking is available on upper lot. Room 100 is on the LOWER level of CALT building.
