In addition to becoming a member, you can also make a donation to maximize our impact. We have two funds, a Grant Fund and an Endowment Fund.

Grant Fund

The Grant Fund allows members to renew their membership and make additional grant donations. All donations to this fund are added to the amount awarded to our grantees.

Endowment Fund

By donating to the Endowment Fund, you are ensuring the sustainability of AAWGT for many years to come.

Since 2011, the AAWGT Endowment Fund has offered an exciting opportunity to expand our philanthropy and provide enduring support for our grantmaking mission. This fund, held and managed by the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, was seeded with a $25,000 gift from a member who wished to remain anonymous. During the first year, AAWGT members rose to the challenge and matched the donation, doubling the endowment to $50,000. The endowment generates an annual distribution into AAWGT's Grant Fund.

Over the life of the Endowment Fund, over 100 individuals have contributed to the endowment with donations ranging from $15 to $1,000. Some have contributed to honor birthdays or the memory of a special person or event. Others leveraged matching donations from employers and still others have included a contribution as part of their year-end giving.

We are proud of the legacy our endowment provides to our community, ensuring that the work of strengthening and improving the lives of women and families will continue well beyond all of our lifetimes.

Tributes and remembrances

Create a ripple effect of goodwill by honoring someone special in your life with a tribute or remembrance that will make a difference in the lives of many.

Your donation on behalf of a friend, colleague or family member can be given to support our Endowment Fund and our Grant Fund.

Other ways to give

Donations to the Grant Fund and the Endowment Fund can also be made via legacy giving and workplace giving, and can be made in tribute to or remembrance of someone.

Legacy giving: Create a legacy that secures a brighter future for women and families in our community by including the AAWGT Endowment Fund in your estate plans. To explore the possibility of including AAWGT in your will or naming AAWGT as the beneficiary of a retirement account or life-insurance policy, talk to your financial advisor or contact the Executive Director at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County at 410-280-1102.
Workplace giving: If your company participates in United Way, Combined Federal Campaign or other workplace giving opportunities, you can give throughout the year and make the most of your donation dollars with pre-tax payroll deductions. To enroll, call the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County at 410-280-1102.
Employer matching gifts: If your employer offers a matching gift program, you can leverage your giving through their generosity. Simply look for the “Matching Gift From Employer” on the donation form.
