Discuss a Book

 Want to become better informed about needs and issues affecting our community? The AAWGT Book Group meets six times a year, and reads nonfiction pertinent to our mission. We convene for 90 minutes with snacks and a glass of wine (optional) for a fascinating conversation at a member’s home. Members are welcome to bring a guest to join us. We select titles for the coming year in November at our annual potluck dinner, based on member nominations that never disappoint.  Nine standing committees are the foundation of AAWGT’s operations and serve as the backbone for our accomplishments to date — Education and Program, Governance, Grants, Grants Systems, Leadership Development and Nominating, Marketing and Communication, Membership, and Post Grants Evaluation. Attend an Education Session

 AAWGT holds several educational sessions throughout the year. Topics have included the first 1,000 days of a child’s life, women and leadership, food security, and transportation.

See Our Contributions At Work

 Want to learn more about where our dollars go? Join us for our Annual Field Trip to visit a prior or current grantee. We’ve visited a therapeutic riding program, observed tutoring at a local elementary school, visited an arts nonprofit in action, toured a new interactive library program, and more. All members are invited to this outing.
