Open House: Spring 2026

We held the Spring 2026 Open House at Historic London Town and Gardens. It was a night of community, connection, and new beginnings.

Some venues are just rooms. Historic London Town and Gardens is a story — and on the evening of our Spring Open House, it became the perfect backdrop for one of our own.

We chose Historic London Town and Gardens deliberately.

As a site that reflects the full, complex history of Anne Arundel County and includes stories that have too often gone untold, it aligned naturally with our commitment to investing in the whole community. Special guest Janice Hayes-Williams, acclaimed historian and Black History Hero Honoree, brought that history to life and connected it to the work we do together today.

The room was full of energy, of curiosity, and of women ready to make a difference.

By the numbers

  • 57 prospective new members attended
  • 25 current members brought a guest
  • 11 women joined AAWGT on the spot
  • 4 women joined AAWGT after the event
  • 1 new Lifetime Member signed up

Heartfelt thanks to planning team leaders — Cathleen Sparrow, Gretchen Moran, and Sue Pitchford — and to the 50+ volunteers whose energy and dedication made the evening a success. Thank you as well to every member who donated raffle prizes.

If you missed it, there's never been a better time to get involved.
